Fri 16 Oct 2026: Map and Controls update

The Ten Tors Team wish to clarify some information regarding the map issued at the Team Managers’ Brief (TMB), following some recent queries.

The map issued at the TMB and the Ten Tors 27 North Moor Map is not the final map that will be used for TT27. It was produced before the decision to use the South Moor had been agreed and was therefore very much a draft version.

It has been brought to my attention that some of the river states and crossing information shown on the draft map are incorrect or inconsistent. These will be corrected on the final TT27 map, which will be issued in early 2027.

Please also note that river crossings shown on any Ten Tors map relate to the event itself and are not designated crossings for training.

To ensure that participants are taught the correct river state and crossing information during training, I recommend referring to the TT26 map until the final TT27 map is issued.

For awareness, the following Controls are changing for TT27:

Removed

New TT27

Prewley Moor (SC)

Black Tor (SC)

Nodden Gate (SC)

Pupers Rock (BC)

Kitty Tor (BC)

Eylesbarrow (BC)

Holming Beam (SC)

Gutter Tor (SC)

Higher White Tor (BC)

High Wilhays (SC)

Hangingstone Hill (SC)

Fernworthy (SC)

Arms Tor (BC)

Watern Tor (BC)

Hopefully this clears up any confusion, and apologies for any mixed messages caused by the draft map.
